CHAMPIONS
Congrats to the 2008 MAYFL Champions Coach Vinson Fraley 10
& Under-White and Coach Daniel Mahoney 14 & Under. Congrats
to our National League champions, Coach Mekel Blackwell 6 &
Under-Blue.
GRAND CHAMPIONS
Congrats to the 2008 Cheer Grand Champions, Coach Erin Martin
10 & Under-White, Coach Allison Forts 12 & Under-Black and
Coach Shameka Maddox 14 & Under.
COKE FUNDRAISER
We are in the middle of our Coke Fundraiser for the park. Ask your
team mom for the details
SEASON START
The first game of the 2008 season is Saturday September 6th. You
can view your teams schedule under the schedule links in the
football section.
REGISTRATION
Registartion is going fast for the 2008 season. Regular registration
end last until the end of June, before late registration begins at an
increased rate of $170. We are projecting a record number of kids
this season, so make sure you register your kids and save your
spot.

FLAG FOOTBALL
Central Dekalb has just completed another successful spring flag
football season. We would like to congratulate our 8 & Under Black
team coached by Lemont Williamson for an undefeated season and
winning the spring flag football championship. We would also like to
congratulate 6 & Under-Black coached by Valister Wilson and 12 &
Under-Black coached by Martin Rennalls for making the league
championship game and finishing runner-up.
We had a successful season with teams in 3 of the 4 championship
games. Congrats to all the coaches, kids and parents.

CHEER COACHES NEEDED
We are still seeking a head cheer coach for a 6U team and a 12U
team. If you are interested, contact Dhonyale Jones at

Early on-line registration is under way for football and cheerleading.
We will start registration at the park on Saturday April 5th. Saturday
registration will be from 10-2pm each Saturday. Early registration is
$140 and last until the end of April.

CENTRAL DEKALB IN FRANK SKI BOWL
Central Dekalb 12 & Under-Black won their semi-final game against
Milford in the Frank Ski Bowl. We will play Sandtown on Saturday
December 15th at 12pm at Hallford Stadium in the championship
game. Come out and support and wear your black and blue.

CHAMPIONS
Congrats to the 2008 8 & Under Champions, 8 & Under Blue
coached by Mike Makins. Coach Makins' team finished the season
undefeated and as the MAYFL Champions. Great job kids, staff
and parents.

GOING TO THE SHIP!!!
Congratulations to 8 & Under Blue coached by Mike Makins and 12
& Under Black Coached by Valister Wilson for advancing to the
2007 Championship games to be played at Creekside High School
on November 17th.
Coach Makins undefeated team will face a Cascade-Black team
that they played early this season giving Cascade their only loss
with a 26-12 win. Coach Makins will be playing in his 2nd
championship game in 3 years.
Coach Wilson's team will be playing the Ben Hill Tigers in a
rematch of a game the Jaguars won 31-26. Look for another
exciting game in this rematch. Coach Wilson will be playing in his
second championship game and seeking his second championship.

CHEERLEADERS - SIMPLY THE BEST
Simply The Best is the only way to describe Central Dekalb
Cheerleading and their performance at the MAYFL Cheer
Competition. In a first ever, Central Dekalb won Grand
Championships in 4 of the 5 age groups. That is a dominating
performance by our kids and coaches.

CENTENNIAL CHAMPS
We would like to congratulate all the teams for their efforts in the
207 Centennial Bowl. We would especially like to give a
congratulations to the teams that placed in the Centennial Bowl
from Central Dekalb
10 & Under-Blue Coached by Reginald Lee made it two tournament
championships in 2 weeks as they won a hard fought game against
Ben Hill to win the 2007 Centennial Bowl. Congrats to Coach Lee,
his player, coaches and parents.
12 & Under-Black Coach Valister Wilson also made it two
tournament championships in 2 weeks as they beat Central
Dekalb-Blue to win the 2007 Centennial Bowl. Congrats to Coach
Wilson, his players, coaches and parents.
Other teams from the park fought hard and placed in the Centennial
Bowl.

SIMPLY THE BEST
As the East Metro Classic tournament director handed Central
Dekalb the last Championship trophy, he stated "like it says on your
website, you all are SIMPLY THE BEST"
Central Dekalb kicked off the 2007 season in grand fashion.
Central Dekalb football teams won a total of FIVE tournament
championships this weekend and one runner up in an all CD
Championship Game.
8 & Under-Blue Coached by Mike Makins breezed thru the field in
the East Metro Classic to win the 8 & under division. Congrats to
all of their kids
10 & Under-Gold Coached by Willie Peacock was the surprise of
the East Metro Tournament as they went undefeated beating the
host team in the tournament championship game.
10 & Under-Blue coached by Reginald Lee went to the Kick Off
Ckassic in Knoxville. Coach Lee's team went undefeated including
a 27-0 championship game victory over the Middletown Little Bucs
out of Columbus Ohio.
12 & Under-Black coached by Valister Wilson won the East Metro
Classic. This was a great time for the park as we witnessed an all
Central Dekalb final as Coach Wilson's team played Coach
Rennalls' team in the Championship game.
14 & Under coach by Coach Mahoney started the season off on
the right foot as they won the East Metro Classic.
As you can see, this was a very successful start to the 2007 football
season for the best youth football association in Georgia.
